Is the survival rate for jumping in front of a train high? There's so many trains where I live, I can just go out and jump at any time. I don't have any money to buy anything to take myself out, I don't have the time to save up for anything nor do I have a private place to off myself. This is the only way I can think of. I can't take another day living around these people. I have to get out of here.

survival instinct, I'd bet it would be very hard not to chicken out in those moments when you are laying there waiting for the train to come

its not impossible though, just very very difficult. I hope you guys can find peace

This is a pretty old and small study, but out of their 9 documented purposeful attempts, 3 lived. Out of all the people in the study (which includes people who fell in front of trains, so they weren't doing it on purpose), 83% lived. And I've anecdotally heard a shocking number of pedestrian train crash survivors. This method has a concerningly high failure rate considering survivors are likely disfigured and/or disabled in some way.

If you're sure of it, I'd do some research on the trains that use the tracks you're considering. Most trains move very slowly through populated areas to reduce the risk of fatalities.

I've thought about this too but you will hear and feel the tracks rumbling when the train is miles away

Does the train ever disturb your sleep? Also, does your room vibrate or something when the train goes by?

i saw someone in india with half his body deattached from "himself" while laying on the train tracks, and it scared me so much.
he was alive, too.
probably not alive for long, but he seemed to be alive for at least 2 minutes.
it was bizarre as fuck

Subway seems (?) to be deadlier given how you can't really be pushed to the side like in regular trains. Maybe I'm wrong though, I'll have to research it more.

Was it the one where he was on his phone, presumably texting his family goodbye? Yea that one was fucked up. Wonder what even went through his mind in those final moments.

I want to have the courage to kill myself

Wooow very interesting !
Thanks for this link

This girl who was a travel influencer stepped in front of a train near her house in Santa Barbara, where I live. seems like she just heard the train and went outside to get on the tracks

That's sad. Rest in peace.🙏
But why do other people succeed and not me/us?🫂

we are overthinking it. and I think she just got to a point where she said 'fuck it' I can't do this anymore.
We could hold hands and do it together 🫂

put on some ear phones with ur fav music to reduce the loud noise of the tracks and train. and it will help u feel relaxed and ready for whats coming. and before u know it, u r dead when the train rammed through ur neck and head is split from body in an instant. People might think this is hard, but its very easy. its gng to be painless and done in < than a second.

I'm thinking about this method. There's a level crossing and the trains go over it at 100mph. There's no cameras only two thin gates and a footpath. I wonder if that'll be enough to end me...

it will be. laying neck down on tracks is an option but as people have said your brain survival instincts may engage and literally force you up. jumping in front of one or divebombing down onto the rail may be the best but still, small chance there may be resistance. whatever works best for you but that speed will do the trick for sure

I think I'm just going to stand there on the track, zone out... and wait for it to hit me. Thanks for answering by the way!
