Never heard a lie told so elegantly by billions of people. Lying to someone's face is a huge sign of disrespect, dishonor. But when it comes to "it gets better", suddenly its all good to say......

Instead of "It gets better", I would rather hear someone say, "I can't promise you it will get better; but you can't find out if you're dead. That's inevitable one day anyway". At least I could respect the honesty.

not for me. my life is still circling the drain while everyone else i know is looking forward to the future. the future is horrifically bleak for me

Some people think that just because life got better for them, miracles can happen to anyone. They can't comprehend experiences outside their own.

Sure things "can" get better, I could win the lottery tomorrow too.

Ignorance is bliss and all that jazz..

The reason almost everyone agrees is just because of survivorship bias.

If you didn't, you're already already dead or working with it. Your less likely to even speak as loud as others aswell.
