I have a constant nagging that this place we call world, might actually be the bad place. I am taking this terminology from the series:- The Good place. So many of us are constantly tormented, face hurdles and strive only to be left dishearten, disappointed and in disarray. We see bad people or people that are manipulative, conniving and evil progress while the rest of us fall down.
I am not being religious here but isn't it so. And if we do involve religion or god then they all refer us to a marvelous place after this life that actually reinforces my point of this being the bad place.
And if this truly is the bad place, then trying to leave it shouldn't be a wrong thing but a foremost priority.
I mean we have got wars that kill people, famines, natural disasters (even the place we are told is our home is trying to get rid of us), and then there is the evil within us that make us turn on each other. I mean everything seems to be against us.
So for religious sake if heaven and hell or other similar concept exists then this reality is truly the bad one.
