Method Is shooting yourself in the temple a good way to blow your brains out?

How effective is the method? What are the risks? I plan on using a handgun/pistol.

Not if I was choosing firearm as a method. I'd only go intraoral. That's only me though. YMMV.

any way is good if u can hit the brainstem but hitting it from a side is just going to be harder. Generally with a handgun u need to know your brain anatomy quite well so u know where u are hitting as the calibers are not big enough and can leave disabled forever like the person above me said its way better to go intraoral.
