i been planning to wait until my [xyz]birthday, so i could experience Real adult life, just in case i changed my mind. but im getting restless & i feel cornered, & still got a ways 2 go before my planned date. those still here by choice: why did you wait? & has it been worth it, whether u in recovery or still waiting?

If you haven't experienced adult life I would encourage you to wait. I actually had some good years before things finally went too far south for me. Some people recover fully and live great lives.

Nobody can know if it's worth it for you. Because nobody else is you, and nobody can know the future either.

Personally I wish I had done it many decades ago. But I still procrastinate one day at a time even though every day inside my head is mental pain and torture.

I would strongly encourage you to experience real adult life for sure, and also you will have time to see a therapist / psychiatrist if you haven't already.

I had a pretty sheltered and stunted childhood I would say, most things I experienced in life that has given me long lasting pleasant memories have happened after I moved out of home, ie. love, making friends with people that actually enjoy and admire, travelling and experiencing new cultures etc. my life really took a nose dive recently, but it would have been a huge mistake if I had ctbed any earlier than now, even if it has also been filled with trials and tribulations

in my experience it does sometimes feel nice to have waited, good things happen occasionally that i wouldn't have wanted to miss ,i know its cliche and probably not what you want to hear but it is possible that something might happen to make you change your mind

That's for YOU to decide. Adult life is like everything else... a crap shoot. If your soul is telling you to stay, stay. If you're questioning whether or not to do it, you probably DON'T really want to. That's not something anyone else can tell you. It reads like you're looking for a reason to stay. So... stay. Good luck in your journey.
