Is it bad to not test SN?

Just wondering if anyone knows of any known cases where they don't test the SN they received and it still was successful ctb?

There will be people who do it, and from unknown places, but it's better to test to confirm purity. I can't, and I don't have the intelligence or the strength to do it. But prevention is better than cure.
