Is a tie good enough and what knot to use?

I know you slipknot the head part...but I have a stupid question, how do you tie it on the bar? I'm disabled so tight knots are not possible for me. Will clove hitch work for a tie? I feel like it'll slip

You can slip knot on bar if possible for you
