So I was involuntarily hospitalized in November. After calling a hot line they told me to go to the hospital to have a psychiatric evaluation. And if I didn't she would call the cops on me. I told her cops and mental illness don't mix well but she insisted. Anyway when I get there the ER doctor pink slips me (forces me to go to the psych ward) even though I never met him. The psych doctor called him and said it wasn't a good idea, and the counselor i talked to said the same thing, I was only in there for two days and once I met the psychiatrist he said I shouldn't be there and let me out right then. I've felt so much pain and embarrassment since then... Is there any study that shows this sort of hospitalization causes someone to be suicidal.
