I desperately need to feel something. I desperately need to feel pain. If I don't then I don't think I can make it more than a few days. I know it isn't a good coping strategy but I don't know what else to try at this point.
But I need it to hurt. I need it to hurt really, really, really bad. Cutting/scratching/whatever just doesn't do it. I've heard salt can sting when in a wound, but most people say it isn't actually that bad. I thought about burning, but instinctually it's just much harder to lean onto something hot than to make quick cuts.
Is there anything I can do? Is there anything that is absolutely excruciating? Maybe a nerve I could target or something? Is there a specific cutting pattern to use? Anything?
I'm desperate, If I can't hurt myself I think I'll kill myself. And right now would be a very bad time for that to happen.

i dont know how you'd do this but i hope you stay safe 🫂 atleast try to do aftercare if you can. with a method as severe as whatever you end up going with, infection could take you out anyway which is a scary and sad thought. i'm sure you knew that already, but i know it's easy to overlook so i know a reminder can't hurt

i would definitely not recommend cutting, especially a nerve. but if it's really that bad, try boiling water. it's excruciating painful, and it burns for a while as well depending on the severity of the burn, flames barely do it so it's easier to pour boiling water over your arm than cutting if you bypass the mental block instinct
stay safe

If you strike a nerve you'll be left with permanent paralysis in some parts body (depending on which nerve). Please stay safe and informed.
And if you do something, try something that's not that much worse (I.e. lemon juice). It hurts a lot (I'm guessing) while still not damaging your body too much.
Boiling water—which I saw posted above—can cause 2nd-degree or 3rd-degree burns, which obviously you don't want. 😓 It'll give you blisters and stuff, too.

I'd suggest getting a tattoo in a painful spot so you're not actually hurting yourself because certain areas of the body can cause permanent nerve damage or worse

Self-harm can quickly turn into extreme self-mutilation. If your goal is to only feel physical pain, a safer option would be to buy the OWO Skin, which is designed to simulate a variety of bodily sensations, including pain. The only downside is that it's on the pricey side. Another option is to directly buy the technology that the OWO Skin uses. This would be a dedicated electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) device, which is cheaper. However, you'll need to learn which settings are safe and which can legitimately injure you.

Idk if this is an option but what about going outside into the cold weather until it's painful?

This might be better than boiling water because you can start to feel pain/burning, but it won't cause permanent damage unless the temperature is hypothermic.

Unfortunately I live in a warm area so winters are very mild. Also I'm tolerant of cold temps anyway.

Dying from hypothermia does sound quite nice, though. Too bad it rarely even freezes where I live.
