im thinking about recording my suicide and posting a video somewhere so you guys can see my thoughts and how my body reacted, is this too creepy or maybe illegal? in my view its a good idea.

I'm sorry about everything that's led you to this. I don't know where you'd post a video of your death without it being reported and removed, unless "bestgore" or someplace like that would allow it. I wouldn't want you to be treated as something gruesome for "tourists" to watch. Please consider another way. x

Just my thoughts on the other...

Video? I view the point of a ctb to be a personal, without chance for others to use it for their own 'pleasure'. You must have suffered in life, no sense in letting others use you after you die. Your decision of course.
But just as others have said, there's basically no place you could post it without it being removed, except places where people would 'enjoy' it in ways you probably wouldn't want. Not to mention, you wouldn't be able to post anything, it'd be up to whoever finds the recording to do as even a livestream can be flagged/removed/stopped/etc. and they have been just because of trolls reporting ones that weren't even bad.

And legality? Not a lawyer, but laws in different places may make it illegal too. But again, wouldn't really matter when you aren't around anymore.



Personally, I'd just let my last moments be for me, and just me--well post so people know why I disappeared, but still that's a "for me" thing.

But again, what you do is your choice, even with a video-- just a heads up that it probably won't be around long if at all, or be put on a site you don't really want it up on.

Agree with the above. Of course, anyone thinking about this method naturally wants to know if it's peaceful or not. Some of us need that confirmation and suicide videos are helpful in evaluating a method. Personally though I think we'll only discover this once we're under ourselves. But some members have suggested going out this way and sharing it with us for our benefit. That's immensely sweet. But we know the method works and I feel none of you should be our guinea pigs just to comfort us. The video is bound to be leaked and depending how peaceful it really is might indeed end up on some gore page with the accompanying crowd. So, imho, if you are thinking of going out, do the best to comfort yourself and don't worry about us. We will be here though if you wish company.

I considered the same :) Least I can do is reassure future travelers. I honestly don't mind it being abused. Even if it contributes little, I'd feel great.

The issues are legal/practical...

Society consider this, alas, like filming a murder. Some may label it as 'encouraging mass suicide'. Most platforms will remove it immediately. I considered an offshore private server, but worried of LE may clamp down or trace viewers. LE sometimes overwork suicide. Like, 300 gendarmerie for 100 Nembutals? That ain't your normal drug bust.

I'm not familiar with all platforms, but couldn't think of one that is both very accessible and safe. Private messaging platforms lack a way for me to stream 30 mins while others record or share it easily (thus could be in vain). Correct me if I'm wrong.

just a fast update... i still, unfortunately, alive because for some reason the mail from my country is taking a looong time to deliver my SN. when it arrives i will do a goodbye thread, really really don't want to ctb feeling lonely... even though ive been feeling like this for a long time
