Why does that matter? That's an opinion? He was just talking about beliefs and what HE believes.
This. I had no idea who he was until he was shot and killed. I've come to the conclusion that I am too conservative to be a liberal and too liberal to be a conservative. So ... I am just out here in no-man's land when it comes to politics, religion and all the other "talking points" people think it's okay to kill someone over. Sheesh ...
And THAT is the thing I find most disturbing about all of this -- there are some folks who think it is okay to kill someone else just because they don't agree with them philosophically. Now, I realize this is not a new phenomenon, but that does not make the death of any man or woman, on either side of the aisle, any less disturbing. At least for me. I don't understand. I didn't understand when Dr. King was killed. Or JFK. Or Malcolm X. In fact, just list any other man or woman who has become a public figure here who was advocating for what they believed would make life better for all of us.
For a species that is supposed to be so smart, we, as a whole, are just, well, stupid. It appears to me that we really are our own worse enemy.
