ODing on meds is not a reliable method.

Not only are you not going to die, if you swallowed the rest of your prescription, you are in for one hell of a withdrawal. Venlafaxine is notorious for having terrible withdrawals, you have to taper off of it very slowly. You are in for an absolute miserable next couple of days and weeks.

Let this be a lesson to everyone. Do not, do not, DO NOT attempt to kill yourself with a medication OD.

Please go to an emergency room or call for help as you're likely going to just hurt rather than die. They'll help with the effects

Venlafaxine withdrawals are Hell. If I'm even a few hours late for a dose, the brain zaps can start.

Agree with others, if you've taken way too much of this, you likely won't die, but the effects will be horrendous. I'd get to an ER so they can try to mitigate them.

Omg yes! Forgot to take it one morning. That was a mistake I made only once. Had to lay on the couch the rest of the day and recover.

I've been on 150mg of Effexor for 20+ years and it's still working for me. It's most likely the main thing keeping me from CTBing. Though, skip a dose or two and GD am I SICK!!! That is one rough drug to get off of, I'm scared to even try. Go get help.

i actually would have did if i didn't call the hotline. i hung up on them and they tracked my address and showed up. i did also take about 4 months of 45mg concerta tho i don't think that contributed much. but i did end up in a coma for 3 days. i'm sure i would have died without calling emergency services. i also removed the beads from the pills and it processed very fast. but i don't think i would have survived if i hadn't been put on a coma
i also haven't been on venlafaxine long enough to experience withdrawals

i have been on it for less then a month which seems to be a small enough time to not have formed a dependance. i haven't had any meds for a few days and haven't had any withdrawal effects. i am still perspectived venla although my mom has tried to fight to get me off it bc she doesn't believe in antidepressants even tho venla was like a miracle for me. i will be picking it up soon and have no plans to try to ctb with it, tho
the experience of losing consciousness was incredibly peaceful and euphoric. and i'm told i would have died hadn't i called emergency services. it was the nicest high of my life. tho of course it's wouldn't make a good choice in general as most people who are on it gawd been on it for a while and formed a dependence/tolerance. it kinda felt like being faded from cannibais but better
