I hate mediocrity

Life is so boring now, I hate it. Every day is the exact same as the one preceding it. I was just feeling nostalgic for one of the worst days of my life just because it was eventful. I remember being a teenager on weed at a park at 5 AM with my sister and her friend, I just want to have days like that. I wish I could be alive on a day like 9/11 or when the Kennedy assassination happened just because it would be interesting.

Yes.
But I wasn't saying those things were good, I was just saying I wish I was around for a historical event.

Well those events come at the expense and suffering of people and it's easy to say yes but I'd imagine you might have a different answer if you were actually living it lol. And your life might be boring now but things can always be unimaginably worse and then you realize it wasn't actually so bad. Knowing this helped me come to terms the way my life is, maybe it will help you too.

What? You wish that you were alive back when awful tragedies were happening? That's just weird and it's not like you being around when those things were happening would have had much of an impact on you anyway, unless you were around the location where those events took place.

If you are bored then couldn't you just look into doing something about it? Like driving out of the city for a bit or going downtown to walk around? You could also just smoke weed at the park during your free time again.

Mediocrity for most is a good place. Nothing needs fixing, nothing going wrong.
I know a man that went through and survived 9/11. He started the day in one of the towers. He would have gladly traded that interesting day for painting a bedroom or cutting the lawn.
Interesting does not always equal satisfying.
