Venting I don't feel any joy

Living with anhedonia is awful. I have had this issue for many years. I don't see myself getting better in the near future either.

I'm not anhedonic the whole of creation is just inherently useless!

srsly tho I think joy would be a bit of a big ask from me. Temporary and woefully incomplete distraction is the best I hope for these days.

I'm 43 and I discovered what anhedonia is because of this forum. I think I have anhedonia too but I forgot to tell it to my psychiatrist the other day. Nevermind, there is no pill for existential angst.

I have beeh ahedonic for years and years. Sadly, it is the default state of my mind.

Me too. It seems to be getting beyond that now. I don't know how to describe it. Almost like everything is tainted. Like all the world is gross. Sort of out of focus. Not like how it is was for me.
It's hard to describe but maybe someone knows what I mean.

I definitely understand what you mean. The world is an awful place.
