I am not interested in sharing the context but just how I recovered from it. A situation happened to me and at first I began hating myself because of it even though I was just a victim in the circumstance. I have had a history of not loving myself so that is why at first I blamed myself for the situation. Then I started chatting with a stranger through an online forum and the stranger was kind enough to let me rant to them. I ranted and when I finished I realized I was not even a problem at all I was dealing with one individual who was. When I began actually critically thinking I became so happy and had a very good laugh with my friend regarding the situation. Usually when I say I am proud of myself it's said as a way to force the emotion but this time it is real and I am glad for it.

This is fantastic! Enjoy the feeling. You can really be proud of yourself! And if another voice speaks up inside you from time to time: slap your inner critic on the cheek and close the door in his face.
