Where did they even learn how to do so? Especially the teens that manage to do it, are they just resourceful?
Also the people that kill themselves in jail, bed sheets are enough? They make it sound so damn easy. If people are able to kill themselves in a jail cell then surely I have what it takes to properly end my life right?

Statistically most attempts to end one's life do not succeed.
You just don't hear about them.

That makes complete sense. I'm still under the impression that most suicide attempts in jail cells work. Can bed sheets really do the trick?

Years ago, a young man in my parents' neighborhood was arrested for drunk driving. The police put him in some kind of holding room while they did paperwork or whatever. There was a phone on the wall with a fairly thick metal cord. The guy managed to successfully hang himself with the cord.

I've heard stories about 8 or 10 year olds hanging themselves. It's pretty crazy. Many small kids have killed themselves in a myriad of ways.

I've always wondered how they managed to do that. The human body is pretty resilient. But I guess it might not always be their first attempt. They might have tried multiple times before that.

is it bad that I can't help but feel a little envious that they get to end their life while i have to consider and think about so many things that is stopping me from doing it myself :D dying cost so much money it's just so unfair

It was so easy to be born to this hell, no one asks you, but its so hard to leave, even if you have all the equipment you need, you overcome your SI, you can still fail.

@Alpacachino, your signature is way too big lol. you need to make it smaller in your profile settings.

this reminds me of when i was really struggling while playing chess online, and my friend who's always been good at chess told me people statistically lose more than they win. it's kind of comforting that it applies to most things, including suicide.

Please bear with it for two weeks. After that I'll change it to a different Christmas themed one. Your signature seems big too. Are you using a laptop?

Also, where is the setting for resizing the sig? Is it in the signature tab itself or somewhere else in the account settings?

using a laptop yeah. it's in the signature tab, you resize the image by clicking on it, then use the edges to resize it. i'll make it smaller. i always imagined it was a tasteful size in my head. i've only ever looked at it on my laptop.

i think this tends to happen for users browsing on mobile because they just drop in whatever not being aware of the actual photo resolution. i've seen some hilariously huge images but even on desktop, the image does scale with the size of the window, until you reach vertical mobile display size at which point all signatures just vanish

What's funny is on my iPad your signature is much bigger than mine.😏
Below is a screenshot of both our signatures on my device.

I wish it's straightforward to be gone more than anything and I always and only envy those who no longer suffer in this dreadful, cruel and torturous existence, I just want to never suffer again, I see so much cruelty in how the option to cease existing painlessly is denied with the suffering and torture of existing seen as to force and prolong no matter what.

Do you know how feasible hanging yourself with bedsheets is? I'm thinking that if inmates manage to do it then maybe I can? Or is it better to wait for a rope?
