Hey everyone. I haven't been on this website in years.. and I'm very happy that I've gotten much better since then!! However recently my best friend blocked me bc I was too clingy and I think that really annoyed him (like I sleep called with him quite a bit bc I was feeling really nervous and anxious and didn't want to be alone, but he later said it was really annoying). That was 5 days ago, and my other friend asked him when he will unblock me, and he said after exam season which ends in a month... and on top of other things that have happened (very bad breakup, being reported to school for sh etc), and now this has come on top of this. I don't want to die, kill myself or do sh, but I don't feel like doing any of those things. I want to change and get better so I'm wondering:

- How to feel something? If it was 2 years ago I would be having lots of mental breakdowns over this stuff, yet now I don't feel anything? I feel finding Christianity has helped me stop feeling in a really low place, but how do I go beyond that and feel something?
-How to be less clingy? My clinginess has really worsened my life, for example my ex recently messaged me and I asked why we broke up bc I never got an explanation, and I was told it was bc I was too clingy, as well as my previous bestfriends. What is the best way to deal with this? I've tried making myself busy, as well as unfortunately alcohol as well (yet that makes things worse), but to me that seems like managing the symptoms rather than the cause. So I'm wondering, what do I do to fix this?

Thank you for you reply and recommendations!! I never really thought that the reason people are clingy is bc of that instinct tysm for saying :D Well I understand setting bounderies, but how do I do that? Just from my perspective, saying "hey can we set bounderies" seems a bit off-putting, how do you recommend I phrase it? On top of this, me and him have very different ways of expressing our friendship (he's more stereotypical way of how boys express friendship, while I'm very clingy and open), so what type of bounderies do you recommend setting? I really want to get to this situation you mention where communication and bounderies are clear, and having multiple dependable people, and that latter part is definitely a good recommendation so tysm!!
