Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

my parents control everything in my life. i'm 20 years old but they treat me like a little kid. they keep track of all my finances and look at all my bank statements. anytime i make a weird purchase they interrogate me over it. i tried to buy retatruide and i had to deposit money into coinbase to buy it and they immediately interrogated me over it. so i would never be able to buy anything like SN online. they check my room all the time, sif through all my drawers and everything so i couldnt hide it anyways. they track my location on my phone, i thought about CTB with a gun, but they would know where i'm at if i went to buy a gun/go to a firearms safety course or something. a P.o. box wouldn't work because they know where i am at all times, they also never let me leave the house without a reason. so im wondering what my best course of action is right now. what's y'all's opinions? i'm feeling the most shit i have in a long time. today is my birthday and i got no birthday wishes since my parents try to dont let me talk to people outside our family. im just exhausted every second of every day and it's most brutal right now.

Happy birthday,
You dont deserve to spend today, or any day frustrated over such horrible people.

If possible , the only option id say is to slowly but surely become less financially dependent on them, easier said than done. Me and a few other people I know start to buy our own phones (2nds,older, but works for needs) and to take power from them, as thats where their feelings stem from.

I know this may not be possible, I truly wish you the best. ❤️

Hello, I hope things get better for you. If your parents are pushing you to think about CTB, there's a serious problem. The problem is your toxic parents at this point. Is 20 the age of full legal majority in your country? If so, it's possible you can assert your independence from your parents. Your parents no longer have the right to search your room, monitor your finances, your phone... you are an adult and therefore independent and autonomous (except in the case of guardianship, which I hope isn't your situation). The simplest thing, even if it's not easy, is to open another bank account in your name, make sure that your income comes from you—your job, your pension, etc.—and no longer from your parents, buy another phone and a new phone number, or even better, move out of your parents' house. It's not normal for people, especially your parents, to be invading your life like this, and for you to consider the CTB as your only solution; it's really not normal. At the very least, if you can, seek outside help, even psychological counseling, about what your parents are putting you through, or social services... so that it stops! Good luck, I hope you find peace, whatever choices you make, your own choices.

I had a similar experience. Honestly just get legal documents and take risks. These fuckers have no idea about boundaries. Finance and economics are our only way out.

Happy belated birthday.

Both my parents are awful people, as well. Putting it very mildly and politely. I can relate to the struggle.

Do you feel shitty and want to check out exclusively or mostly because of your parents and environment?
