i request to change meds that won't have side effect like weigh gain more than 5 times already and they still got me the same one with just minur change.
i barely eat, not because i want a diet or something but i just don't have the appetite, i rarely have snacks since i don'twant to spend money on it, i do move a lot, but my weight is still the same, i know im not overweight but rather chubby but i don't like it, my silhouette reminds me of my own father that i despise.
their reasoning when i request about it is "exercise" I TRIED, and i barely see any result so i stop, my body ache all over so it creates more problems, our house is so small to exercise in and i dont want to go out of my house, because i feel deeply ashamed of my body.

do you have any reccomendation of meds for severe depressive episodes with psychotic symptoms that does not have side effect like weight gain? if so please tell me and help me to maybe word it out so i can request it again to my psychiatrist

I am so sorry, it must be incredibly frustrating.
The truth is, weight gain & increased appetite is a side effect of every antidepressant and antipsychotic I've heard of. It's tricky because not everyone gets the same side effects which makes it hard to tell which medication would be 'right' for you.

You shouldn't have to convince or persuade your psychiatrist, they should acknowledge your concerns and actively listen instead of trying to brush it off.
What meds are you taking and how long have you been on them?

I know certain medication does cause weight gain. Exercise doesn't really help too much with weight loss. It helps with cardiovascular health, muscular strength , bone density and general health. But trying to lose weight through exercise is a lost cause. Calorie restriction is what it's all about. Maybe try water fasting? Or OMAD?

Or do what I do when I'm trying to lose weight. Down protein shakes. Very low in calories, reasonably filling.

Lie and say that you're starting to get bad side effects. Best way. Doctors can be so dismissive and not care about things you care about.

My doctor told me that increased appetite isn't thought to be the only reason they can cause weight gain. They also alter your metabolism, but the science isn't entirely clear.

Instead of saying 'it doesn't work' say 'bad side effects' specifically. It makes no sense to up the dosage if you get side effects.

WILL TRY THIS IF MY CURRENT MEDS GAVE ME WEIGHT GAIN AGAIN

I have tried different meds and yeah, some do makes you feel sluggish and sleepy all the time, they quickly change it tho once you mention you can't get anything done cus you're so sleepy all the time (at least in my case)
