How to commit in psychiatric hospital

So I'm in psychiatric hospital after a failed attempt and want to attempt again does anyon have ideas of Howe to do it in here. I have access to things to ligature with but I don't know what to tie it too
Depends on how serious the psychward is. Are there door knobs, shower head, or anything "sticking out?" If so you can use them. Hard to give advice without descriptors. It'd be more advised to wait until release and play along until you have access to better alternatives. However, it's your choice.
There's Sten door knobs but they're are designed so that nothing can be tied shower heads are the same ther is nothing obviously sticking out that I could find
I know how you feel I'm in hospital right now as well. It sucks but it would be pretty difficult, most hospitals I've been to have no ligature points etc. The only advice I could give is to tell your dr etc that it was a mistake blah blah and try and get out ASAP as it would then be way easier then.
Sorry I couldn't offer any better advice. Good luck
Could you explain how this is done

You get a piece of rope or even a scarf (not too elastic), tie it around your neck so that maybe 2-3 cms are left on the outside. place it on your carotid artery/jugular vein (do a search on this site there are a few diagramns which show you where they are). Then use a spoon as a handle, twist the rope/scarf aroound it so it tightens around your neck. Once it's tight and you are starting to feel yourself fade, use the spoon to tighten behind the neck so once you're unconscious it won't untwist.
I'm sorry to say that this is probably not the best idea to attempt suicide in a psychiatric ward. It is better to play along the rules that you will be discharched as soon as possible. Then please do research before you made your decision. You know it's your choice yet please don't do anything impulsive.

I remember being so pleased with myself tieing bed sheets to joist on door frame when shut. And then coincidentally the 'Fire' alarm went off... Oh how my luck had finally come in! "That will distract them I won't be found for a bit!"
Next thing I flew half way across the bathroom by a worker barging the door.
There was a censor over the top of the door. After that I felt so low and worthless I could only see the possible of jumping high as I could and landing on my neck... But wasn't up to that and am certainly glad that they treated me so well that I didn't and live to get my death right this time.
My advice is just try and see it as a break if you can, talk to the other patients, especially the ones in dire distress who don't have the cognitive abilities you do and need to be supported. That's how I passed the time.
If you attempt while there and get caught, they are not going to let you out easy. Please just play along with them for now as hard as it is. Then when you get out, you can reevaluate your situation.
If you were sent there because of suicidal attempt, I assume that they will particularly keep an eye on you and not let you try another attempt. It would be better to act like you are aware that suicide is not a solution, in order to get out. Plus if you miss again, it will worsen your situation.

The fact that you're allowed to have your cell phone makes me assume it's not a very.. "tight" ward.
I wasn't allowed to have jack SHIT in the psych I was admitted to, not even long sleeves.
I would have broken my phone and used the pieces to slit my wrists, whether it was gonna work or not, it'd be worth my effort. A man used his pants to choke himself while I was there. I also stopped eating, thinking maybe I'd be there long enough to just.. die of malnutrition?
idk. It sounds stupid but desperation fucks me up.
The mental health hospital I went to did not have shower knobs, heads, no pipes, anything would slip off doorknobs, closet doors did not have knobs. I just realized that there were cameras too.
I attempted to partial hang using my pant drawstring on a hospital bedframe while on a recline position with the lights off. But it was still painful. I felt my head starting to hurt. They do check on you periodically.
Um, I cant vouch for this but I heard from someone that one guy ate a bunch of toilet paper until it caused intestinal blocking. I'm not recommending you do that, just throwing it out there.
Ive also heard of people having to get surgeries for swallowing lids and such. The psych ward I was in wouldnt allow us to have any toothepaste lids.
If I end up in your position again I would do everything I can to prove I'm not suicidal and try to convince them I made a terrible, impulsive decision due to having a tough time. And if I'm of sound enough mind, make it look so I am proactively seeking help in the community on discharge... For example "Please don't discharge me until you have got things in place so I have plenty of support in the community."
Then they will see me as less of a risk and a chance to free up a bed.
And during Corona now they're crying out for beds because the amount of people presenting as high risk has near quadrupled.
Like others are saying, it would probably be best to ctb when you're out of the hospital. If you're caught trying to while in, it could result in longer time.
People commit suicide in their prison cells. I suggest you use some creativity. Coat hook behind the door, perhaps.
And as others pointed out, don't do it in a psychiatric hospital. You're in a place where they keep an eye on you and have all the equipment there to resuscitate you quickly. You're more likely to have a second failed attempt and end up staying there indefinitely as a result.
Use your head: how can a forum know if you can ctb in a room we cant see? And while you're there, tell them you're no longer suicidal, realised what a silly idea it was and you now love life. Then they'll release you.
The chances that you only harm yourself are greater than if you attempt outside. I have never in a place like this, but my impression is that you should play along the rules. Maybe you even can benefit from the treatment, if not, and if you still want to CTB, you can always attempt outside, and your chances of sucess will be greater.
I don't recommend attempting it, it'll only make your situation worse. Speaking from experience. I think you should try to fake it until you make it - that is, do as they ask until they let you out. It's what I wish I did.
