I had a short chat that never added up to much and the other person life the conversation and now I'l like to leave the conversation just to clear up the clutter on the page but I can't figure out how to leave a chat- does anyone else know? Thanks.

I do not use the chat, but I looked and there is a button at the top in the shape of a ring next to the settings button which tells you what you need to type in to leave the chat.

If you are in the private conversation panel and hover your mouse over their username on the right side you should be able to see two symbols. The left one, the x in the circle, stands for "Leave conversation".
