• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I've been in hospice for a couple months now, and with my gut problems, my nurse has said it's totally up to me whether or not I eat. I think an appropriate enough amount of time has passed that I can VSED (Voluntary Stopping Eating Drinking) without any questions being raised. After all, I imagine most hospice people choose to give up eating eventually. I had hoped for a faster method, but a morphine/Ativan OD is way too iffy since I don't know how much it would take to get the job done. I will hire a CNA to help take care of me between hospice nurse visits. This is going to really suck, because I hate the thought of wearing diapers and potentially going crazy while I dehydrate to death. But hopefully they'll be able to medicate me sufficiently (my nurse is super religious and doesn't approve of death with dignity states, so unfortunately there is no chance she'll "accidentally" overdose me). But if I can keep it together for a couple of weeks, hopefully it will be over. Of course, there is always the nightmare option of my body holding on for weeks, but I REALLY hope I go fast.

I won't selfban until I get close to the point of being unable to use my phone. Just wanted to thank everyone on the advice I got last fall. There's a lot of great people here!

Also, DO NOT VSED UNLESS YOU ARE IN A SITUATION SUCH AS MINE. I will have a nurse overseeing my care, I will be getting meds that (hopefully) will make me comfortable, and I will have a CNA to do awful things like change diapers and bathe me. To do this alone would be horrific, so please don't!

I'm so sorry that you don't have the freedom/means to pursue a better exit. I really do hope the meds will keep you comfortable as you take your leave.
