I can't see the video, but depression can be tricky. It can be amplified by brain chemistry, developmental experiences, present circumstances, or even diet and nutrition. It can also come in waves or be steady state.

You pretty much have to experiment on your own to see what you could do that might influence it. For example, perhaps the easiest experiment is to take a multi vitamin with minerals to see if that help[s. You might expand your diet to include more vegetables and fruit, seafood, nuts, and whole grains.

Exercise is another possibility. Being depressed generally does not help initiate something like exercises, but as a start one might make a walk around the block once each day.

Even something like getting a pet can be a management strategy.
