Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I think going out by gun is about the least scary method. Well, maybe hanging is better but I am overweight and worry that my neck is too thick for it to work. It seems like a lot of people have failed at partial and a few have failed at full somehow. I really can't afford to fail and have a ligature mark on my neck for all to see. I've been in the psych ward many times but I can't remember if I've ever been involuntarily committed. I live in the united states.

I have never been involuntarily committed before let alone voluntary. I also have never tried to buy a gun before so I can't really answer your question.

I'm in the US also and have wanted to buy a gun. If you have any past convictions, do drugs(even bud) and/or have a mental illness or have been hospitalized for it, it's very difficult to obtain a license if not impossible.

With all the shootings going on, it's only going to get harder and harder. Also, be weary of buying guns from other people or on the black market. If caught, you will most likely be charged with whatever crimes were committed with that gun.

I really want to go out with a gun but I just can't get my hands on one.

They usually have you sign a form and I think it's standard cannot buy one for 5 years after a stay.

What's the punishment for possessing a handgun after being involuntarily committed? Does anyone know? I can't find anything about it.
