I wonder if anyone tried full suspension hanging before or tested it? If so, how was the pain, how long did you go?

I tried partial. I'll never forget the feeling of it. When someone tried to choke me as a kinky thing, I genuinely had to tell them to stop, I was so triggered. Hanging is scary. I'd rather have instant death.

It has a 70% chance of succeeding, so there's a 30% chance that it won't, of course if you are unconscious for too long without dying yet there is a big chance of brain damage.

About the death, is there a moment where you're suffocating for a while before passing out or is it instant? If it's the former, maybe someone thought the suffocation was unbearable and interrupted the hanging themselves by, for example, loosening the ligature or stabilizing themselves on the chair and then loosening the ligature.

Partial experimenter here đź‘‹ I only put a few pounds of pressure on the rope. Full bodyweight is another story entirely, there's no easing up to it, it's do or don't. Trying to work up the courage.

I did experiment with partial a lot, but the outcome varied. It is very painful on the neck, the furthest I went I passed out. With full suspension the biggest worry is the pain on the neck or the agony of suffocation.

There's a lot of hanging videos out there, watch people die.tv as example, and many times they seem out in less than 30 seconds. It's hard to pinpoint because the body jerks for much longer. So clearly you can get lucky and it be peaceful but not guaranteed

I've tested fully suspending my self with a tightening knot on my neck 3 times, only as a test, and most of the time of me being suspended was lasted for 3 to 5 seconds, and I swear right when I felt myself getting severely lightheaded, I stand on the stool again and swear it was like a movie, right when I stand on the stool, one millisecond later the stool was moved a little away from me and the tightening knot wasn't perfect and my foot touched the ground because my foot was too close to the ground, my foot didn't touch the ground when I was suspended, but I didn't even know I passed out, it was like a movie like a instant next scene, pretty much like you were standing and 1 millisecond later your on the ground like no time has passed at all, like you were awake the whole time but you notice you were in another place instantly kinda like teleporting but not teleporting obviously, you were passed out.

Exactly the kind of answer I was hoping for! Very useful.

I've tested FSH while wearing a climbing harness (so part of my weight taken off). The noose must've been in exactly the right place because I quickly almost slipped into unconsciousness only putting feet back on chair at the very last moment. I had no idea where I was and took over 30 secs to get my bearings back. Short point is any test with the rope attached to the anchor can be the end, and quick.

Your statistic is a little misleading. 30% chance of failure is due to equipment failure (anchor giving out, or rope snaps), or being found and saved.

If neither of those things happen, there is absolutely no chance of survival. Certainly, in some cases it may take longer to lose consciousness, but hanging full suspension is not something that fails - either you will lose consciousness quickly from lack of blood flow to the brain, or you will suffocate.
