Help Has anyone here ever used AncestryDNA or TellmeGen?

Does anyone have experience with these two? I ordered a test from AncestryDNA and sent everything back. Now I'm just waiting for the results. I did the test to find out about possible incest connections and maybe discover some family.

TellmeGen tests are more expensive, but they seem more interesting if you want to analyze your health. I thought it might help me since I don't have healthcare, but on their website, they also claim to test for psychological diagnoses, which sounds like a scam to me, because "mental" health industry is a big fraud. It's like testing for sins or horoscopes.

That's why I suspect TellmeGen might not really be suitable for me to get reliable results. I wanted to finally get proof of physiological diseases and start to use the results in a criminal case, to strengthen my position as a victim.

I contacted them by email earlier this year, and they said they can't detect Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder because it's an acquired condition. I explained my father is maybe a FAS child himself and he's also an alcoholic and heavy smoker– so my body is basically damaged and made of beer, vodka and so on. Both my parents are to blame.

They said Porphyrias and Trimethylaminuria and thyroid issues (Hashimoto, Morbus Basedow) could be detected.

The tests are still expensive, so I decided to hold off for now. But perhaps it's my only chance to finally get some of the physiological conditions examined. I am not sure.

There are some concerns about privacy with these tests. You're handing over your genetic code to these companies, which comes with risk. 23andMe had a privacy scandal in the past few years and it was not good.

Also, there's a difference between the types of genetic tests that you'd get from a doctor or genetic counselor versus ones you can order yourself. In short, the quality of testing isn't the same. I looked on the TellMeGen website and in the teeny tiny print they say their tests are "informative and educational," not diagnostic. Also, it doesn't look like they provide any counseling. Giving people a report and then just throwing them in the deep end is… not cool. I know you said you don't have access to healthcare, so I'm not trying to convince you to go to the doctor.

These companies present these tests as if they're the same quality as the ones you get from medical professionals. They are intentionally deceptive at times. I'm not trying to scare you, and please don't just take my word for it. I just want you to be aware so you can make an informed decision. You deserve safety and privacy. I'm so sorry you've been pushed to this point and are stuck in this awful position.

Thanks for your reply. I knew about 23andMe, and that's how I came across TellmeGen because I read 23andMe had gone bankrupt. So I started looking for alternatives.

So, TellmeGen is more like a scam? Or do you think I can still use their results legally? I have not done any tests by them for now, only by AncestryDNA.

Unfortunately, I can't see a real doctor—I have no car and can't use public transportations alone. I would walk around all day or weeks, waste of energy, because I haven't found anyone willing to test me for the physiological illnesses I suspect I have.

People always look at me as if I'm trash, creep and illness. They are passiv aggressiv and call me ugly, dumb or they laugh, stare with aggression or disgust. Like I'm some kind of monster, but I don't have extreme tumors or burns on my face. I think many are just repulsed by my skin, damaged hair, male hairline (but I am bio female), and eyes. I don't believe that I'm "simply ugly".
My body sweat has smelled like urine for years. I've tried changing my diet and supplements, but nothing helped. I also feel exhausted and tired and since puberty I had hairloss and strong frizz. Years ago shingels, and ovarian cysts, – this was one of the few times I had access to a doctor who reconized it after saying rude words to me (my fault, I am a parasite). The few doctors years ago starred at me with disgust too, male doctors and female doctors.

There were also social workers who were shocked by my side profile.

Both my parents are also ugly, I wish I could know what they have. It must be some kind of Syndrome. They should never have been allowed to create children.

fetal alcohol syndrome is caused when a mother drinks while pregnant. if your father drank while she was pregnant with you, it would not affect you at all. What exactly are you after with this?
