Has anyone else in your life caught the bus?

Lately, I have realised my first real exposure to suicide was when my mother committed when I was younger. It was devastating to me, since she was the only person I could really look up to. Since suicide is a very long standing tradition in my family, she left me with my military father and my wretched aunt, which is why I'm such a genuinely fucked up person today.

It would give me great comfort at the present to hear your tales and stories, if applicable. Thank you sincerely.

I'm sorry you had to lose your mother that way. I can't imagine the pain and how lost you must have felt. My condolences.
I lost my first partner to an OD, it was ruled as an accident but the circumstances and their previous behaviour and statements about wanting to die make me strongly suspect suicide, their parents thought the same. It's nearly a decade later and I still think of them. Along the way i've had acquaintances who have ended up taking their lives too. Suicide is devastating to people around you, but a viable exit for those who cannot take the pain of life. And a choice i believe should be respected.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. Losing a parent to suicide, especially at a young age, is more devastating than words could possibly describe. For me my girlfriend took her life a couple months ago. It's been terrible. She brought me out of a years long depressive episode and helped me rebuild my life. I'm completely lost without her. All I want in the world is to see her again and hold her again. What tears me apart the most is the thought that she might have never known how much I loved her or needed her in my life. I hope that when I ctb I get to see her again.

Sorry for stuff that happened to you.

My cousin ctb but i was kid back then, i know it had bad effect to my uncle, and a bit to our family as well.
