I know valentine's day is a stupid holiday. However, for those craving love and affection: it's just another reminder. You see everyone normal, happy and in love. Whether it be those still in the honeymoon phase or elderly couples who have been together for 50+ years.

So I say to my fellow lonely and aching hearts: happy valentine's day.

happy valentines day i think i deserve to have a heart shaped lollipop for how in check ive got my priorities. i could be trying to get the attention of someone by texting and calling them and telling them that i love them but all i truly want to do is what im doing now, worsening myself by scrolling on a suicide forum and planning my suicide.

My partner left me a few weeks before today. We had planned a nice trip and dinner. Things were fine. Then out of nowhere they broke up. I am in extreme pain, I hope everyone else can cope with their pain and at least find some affection in here or somewhere else. Obviously one should not be validated by others but it sure is a nice feeling to be loved.

Well, I wish for that every day, but today is a rare Valentine+Saturday combo, so it makes me wish for it harder.

I get it. I've vented about it but my boyfriend cheated on me about five weeks ago and then a couple of days ago, he started looking into his ex wife and his ex girlfriends lives. Curious about what they were up to. His reasoning: because I was upset with him about the cheating situation. We just moved 1200 miles a week before he cheated.

Everything is great, wonderful, beautiful. Until it isn't.

I see the posts of support and care from the members of the forum and I find more peace here on the island of misfit toys than I do at home.
