If hanging is the most common method, why is it so hard to do?

The tehnical side is hard. Also survival instinct. You might find partial easier to do then full.

Do you think most people might have had a drink before to relax a bit?

Forget about SI, first try to pass out for a second. Maybe your anatomy won't allow you to. The vast majority of people can't.

Anyone can die from hanging anatomically. Either due to hypoxia or asphyxiation. Hypoxia is preferred because it's less painful and you lose consciousness fairly quickly. SI is the biggest hurdle. I will certainly be having a drink and popping a few benzos before I do it!

No, thats with full. I cant argue with that.

With partial - check out the polls here on forum. 80-85% of ppl who voted couldn't stand the pain.
It simply gonna crush your windpipe if your anatomy is wrong, you will abort it and end up calling 911.

Not being able to stand the pain and aborting is a psychological reaction not an anatomical one. Physiologically anyone can die from hanging.

Not for me, I've got zero fear. I dont even need to fool myself as if I'm doing it for fun and experiment. I'm just doing it.
But ok, I can take your opinion, no prob :)

And I yours. Just a thought, have you tried putting the rope right under your chin with the rope straight up? Some of the pressure on the trachea can be absorbed by the chin and your still hitting the Carotids.

I've watched numerous live videos of hangings. It looks simple. Every one of them was unconscious in seconds. They look very peaceful with minor convulsions. These videos were definitely not partial suspensions their feet were not touching the floor. I think for me I'd rather go like this. I've tried partial several times. I never passed out. My survival instinct was preventing me to complete.

One of the easiest method (with jumping)... and very efficient when you are impulsive. It's why so many people use it i guess...

SI & for me- trying it + being too scared + thinking about it for way too long, i almost did it at one point but still scrambled to 'save' myself at the last minute - instinctually- i wish id had the will power to stop myself from stopping myself - if you know what i mean...

Just think about these young teens that hang themselves successfully. I'm sure they weren't spending hours online researching or overthinking it. I'm sure it was an impulsive act!

I think generally teens are more impulsive - they don't think about the totality of their actions so much or weigh up the past they have had to what could come in the future - they will act more in the moment - and have very strong emotions due to all the hormones & act upon how they feel in an instant - that's why I feel sad when you hear of a teen ctb & all the years ahead they could have had too. But they felt how they felt at that moment & their pain must have seemed insurmountable I guess. I can't seem to act impulsively as I feel stuck accessing my own life's worth, misery & tragedy & going over & over things that could have different - rather than having a sort of "knee jerk" reaction to an immediate feeling. Now I have become this way- I can't help but feel wish I had caught the bus years ago - but then I didn't feel this way before so that thought had no real meaning in many ways. But it's there nonetheless.

Hanging is not hard to do; overall, it is the true grab and go method. Unlike partial suspension, full suspension is cheap, quick and clean. You are unconscious quickly, with death following in a matter of minutes. It is wise to refrain from food a few hours prior to the act, as you may soil yourself. The key is privacy. If you are a homeowner or live alone, you're ready go.

I could'nt agree more.
