• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I'm currently a patient in a mental hospital. I'm locked up all day with nothing to do, and now I'm even more depressed.
I have a blanket and a bed at night. I'm thinking of tying one end of the blanket around my neck and the other end at the top bedpost. Will this be enough for asphyxiation and death?

I've attached a crude drawing. The blue is the bed, the green loop is where I want to tie one end of the blanket. The other end goes around my neck.

I would appreciate every feedback. Every day I stay here is another torturous day.

The frequency of successful inpatient suicides in mental hospitals is rather low. The risk of being caught and "rescued" is very high, which would probably just prolong your stay. I wouldn't risk it if I were you.

I know how lonely and desperate you can feel in that situation. I've been hospitalized several times for suicide attempts. Count yourself lucky that you have internet access. I never did.

I concur with ShadowOfTheDay: you'll very likely fail. Bide your time and decide later.

DON'T DO this.

I know a case, where a psych hospital patient has tried that, and is now in long-term coma, because the personal has "rescued" him.

They let you have your phone and browse pro-choice forums in the psych ward?

I only have my phone when my mother visits. Couple of hours at most. Thanks guys for your help. Will reconsider.
I just feel so so trapped. I stare at the wall all day.
