^^ I work at a DV shelter; if you can, look for something like that in your area. they are not restrictive, offer you a safe environment to grow and get the the help you need, and the food is better than whatever they'll give you in jail. ask a cop to refer you to one, or do some research. it doesnt matter what kind of abuse, they will have a bed for you. i hope things get better for you!

Don't, jail is a horrible place where you can get abused by other inmates or worse. The mentally ill don't do well there. Can't you try a women's shelter of some kind?

Food sucks and is inedible at most. I hope you like smelly bologna. As far as out of cell time it depends from all day in a day area to completely locked down. Unless you make store, its not a good existence and its usually f-ing cold all the time. As others have mentioned, trying a shelter or call 211 from any phone and see if the united way will help you out. A lot of churches will as well no matter if your religious or not. Also I don't know about where you are but stealing anything less than a car usually results in a ticket or a night in jail at most. Most places theft offenses are not significant so most are OR'd out as soon as they hit the jail.

if youre american, im pretty sure as long as it's under like 900$ they wont even bother giving you a ticket. Aim straight for the declaration of independance, make it a proper heist.

It's a horrible idea. You might get put on probation, be constantly drug tested, and have to pay numerous fines and fees. It will make it MUCH harder to get a job, which is what can help you get out of your horrible situation. A shelter for domestic violence is the better option or just a general shelter. Resisting cops can also result in death or serious injury to you, or to someone else (such as if a cop tries to shoot you and it hits a random person after ricochetting while you're running). This is extremely bad judgment. Also, if you're being physically abused and have a concussion or have had one, you may have bad judgment because of that. Call 211 and find a domestic violence shelter.
