A friend asked me to give life one last try. I told him I'd wait and try for him. Not sure what he expects... But I'll try. For him.

I've been doing exactly the same. Not for anyone else, but for myself.
I have had everything in place to CTB for a few months now but decided to give "Life" another chance. Still comforting knowing I can leave when I want and nothing to lose.

Kinda the same. I had almost everything gathered. I only recently learned about SN and ordered some to add to my plan as a "just in case". I had this plan, that I don't think there would be saving me from... He wants me to wait for him. At least for a while. He wants to save me. I like this guy... A lot. So at least I'll have one good thing before I CTB. Even if it's only for a short time.

You should be happy to have such a friend. Many people have none. I hope it will turn out well for you. You can give life many chances, but death just one.

USA is good. It's not so good if you are running from an abusive ex the courts refuse to take action against. I wasn't allowed to have my own money though I was the one working. He raped me on multiple occasions only for me to be told there was nothing that could be done. First few times he hit me " no mark can't do anything for you" so I waited... It got worse and worse. I couldn't leave as I had nowhere I could go no money because he wouldn't let me have any of it. So I let it get to the point he busted my lip open and called the cops again. What did he get? One night in jail. ONE SINGLE NIGHT! While I got sent out of the house with only a bag of clothes for my daughter and I. Now he is still trying to control me by making it hard to get a job even though I am staying with a friend in a whole new town. So land if the rich? Normally only if you are born into a rich family. Adventure? Not really. Happiness? For some maybe. Just never get married as a female... The moment you do you lose so much. Especially if you have the misfortune of having a child because then you end up dragging it into all future disputes with the other parent even if you don't want to.
