Hi, welcome to SaSu.

Have you ever prepared someone for burial who asked to be dressed in something unusual?

Im surrounded by the morality of death on a daily basis and have had a number of friends ctb. Although I work in this profession there are are subjects and thoughts I have that would be unprofessional to bring up even amongst my coworkers, so thought this might be the appropriate outlet to express the thoughts I have and at the same time just happen to work in the industry so figured I would put that out there.

The opposite, I am a firm believer that most funeral homes are a racket to exploit families at their most vulnerable.

Plenty of people that wear clothes that pertains to their cultures that to my American perspective I would consider unusual. Other than that one that sticks out to me was a gentleman who worked in the fashion business who had 4 different outfits for 4 different parts of the funeral. Dressed very sharply.

So in my state in the Midwest, we're not allowed to put animal cremated remains in the same container with human cremated remains. Do you have the same restriction and if so why is that? I understand non cremated animal and humans mixing could be an issue but if both are burnt up it shouldn't matter that much.

Weird how there have been multiple "ask a funeral director/mortician" threads in the last two years or so.

"What do you depressed fucks wanna know about the embalming process?"

Yeah, the thing that comes off as odd to me is they usually do the "ask a funeral director/mortician" thing as one of their first couple of posts (if not their very first post, like OP) soon after they've joined. They don't want to CTB themselves, and they don't spend time reading/interacting with others' posts and getting to know the community; their main purpose in joining the site seems to be to talk about their job.

I can understand someone who works in the industry wanting to offer their perspective (and I'm not saying this person isn't genuine, because of course I don't know) I just see it as strange for people who don't want to CTB themselves to make these "ask me questions about death" posts immediately after joining.

At least in my West Coast state, once the responsible party is in possession of the ash remains, they are able to mix them to their hearts content.

Think plenty of directors just happen to be depressed.

I have spent a long time lurking on this site. If and when I decide to CTB I know where to get the SN, how to consume the SN, etc. Rather than have a 100th post about the efficacy of SN or FSH , I would have more expertise in contributing with the latter half. Did not know there was a death authority on this forum that dictated how or when I could contribute to this forum in the way I would like.

I wasn't talking about you specifically, but rather the repeated trend, which is why I noted I don't know about your case and I'm not saying you're not genuine. Not everyone who has claimed to be a funeral director/mortician on this site has been telling the truth, so I think it's fair to keep that in mind, and I don't think saying that is me being a death authority. With that said, you definitely don't have to post about CTB, and I'll say again that I'm not making any claims about you specifically. Anyone can choose to engage with these type of posts in whatever way they'd like, just like you can post whatever you like.

I think the people here are paranoid that you're one of those BBC spooks looking to entrap us and paint us as monsters. You're clearly not, but I understand why they're on edge.

I definitely don't think they're someone from the BBC, just to be clear, lol.

Yes, there have been numerous bullshitters on here, making it hard not to be a bit skeptical.

Hello, maybe it is a bit of a weird introduction post, considering the kind of forum this is. But when I read your post, I thought it was kind of cool as well how you are willing to help with questions on funeral arrangements, etc., as I'm in the process of getting my affairs in order in another country.

If you don't mind me asking, I'm wondering how/if your job plays a role in you being depressed and/or suicidal. And do you think you view death differently than people who do not deal with death of others on a daily basis? Please don't feel obliged to answer if you are not comfortable to do so, and apologies if I'm being too forward.

Hi,
I'd like to know:
If you ever saw a corpse from a person died by full hanging and he hang lets say maybe 1-2 hours how did the aftermath looked like? Was it horrible for the family members, did he look like a zombie or was it just the neck marks and when you organized his funeral you put some make up on him as if nothing ever happened?
