Hello people, i have questions, which knot is best suited for full hanging ?

I created this thread to understand which noose is best to use for a complete hanging so that there are no problems. I found two good options, but I would still like to know which one is better to use.

Use the one the right. The one on the left is for long drop hanging.

I thought the ideal was poachers knot, not hangman's noose (terrible idea) or noose knot even.
May I ask what is wrong with the option on the left? It is not very suitable for full hanging, is it? I have a 12 mm polypropylene rope
It's stiff and doesn't close smoothly is the explanation and experience I've had.

The Poacher's Knot good for full hang? Won't it come undone? I weigh 55 kilograms.

No it won't that's a lie that people who have no idea about hanging always claim . Just tell me once you hang fully how could a self tightening knot open itself ?? There are videos of people using a simple noose knot which wasn't even tied too strong and yet and it did not open itself .

I don't know I read it in one of the threads for hanging please don't take my word. Previously I was considering noose knot with stopper

Arbor knot for the anchor point, and noose knot for the head. The polypropylene ropes are usually a bit too stiff for tying knots. Nylon or polyester double braided dock line ropes are a good choice.

Well, I tied it correctly, and it held up perfectly. I tried the poacher's knot, and it worked great on polypropylene rope.

It's the other way around. In general, polypropylene is softer than polyester. Polyester ropes can be a bit stiff. But it also depends on the type of rope and the thickness, not just the material.

Arbor knot for the anchor point, and noose knot for the head.

Regarding knots, an Arbor Knot is just a Noose Knot with an added stopper knot at the tail end. A stopper knot is necessary, because the Noose Knot on its own is not secure enough – it can slip and come undone. So a stopper knot is a must, and the Noose Knot shouldn't be used on its own.

The Arbor Knot (which is a Noose Knot + stopper knot combination) can be used both for the neck and the anchor point. It works fine, and the upside is that you only need to learn one knot. However, for tying a rope to an anchor point, there are other options as well. For example:
Adding a stopper knot at the tail end is always a good idea. It's an extra insurance. Adding one makes the knot more secure and has no downsides.

For the neck, there are also other options, one of which is the Poacher's Knot. It's a secure knot and still slides relatively easily. The Poacher's Knot is secure and can be used on its own (unlike the Noose Knot), but I'd still recommend adding a stopper knot. A stopper knot makes the Poacher's Knot more stable and prevents any slippage.

The Hangman's Knot is not the best choice for the neck in my opinion. It would definitely work, but it doesn't slide very easily, and it's more difficult to tie.

Thanks for the info.

I have a bunch of that really coarse blue polypropylene stuff around. It's very strong but it doesn't hold knots well at all. Maybe there's different types? The nylon dockline I got seems much better. It's 3/8" 9.5mm thick. I've seen some people say 12mm would be more suitable?

So, which is better for the anchor: water bowline or arbor knot? I've seen both suggested on here? Or does it matter?
