I have my method and my date and I've done the research on said method since early 2024 and have come to the conclusion that it is 100% fatal and essentially instantaneous but it's kind of weird knowing my life is on a clock now. Anybody else feeling like this. It's like tick tick tick less than x days until eternal oblivion. Which is relieving to me but also a bit odd. But I predict as time goes on I'll become more inconsiderate until the day comes.

Firearms, it is the most lethal option but going more in-depth I've come to the conclusion that the best way to do it with a firearm would be with a contact shotgun blast to the chest as there are no recorded cases of survival with this method and consciousness would be lost immediately and death would occur in seconds due to the obliteration of the heart, lungs, and aorta which would cause massive exsanguination, shock, an immediate cut of blood flow to the brain and the inability to breathe.

The thing with shotguns is that the barrel is long. You might not be able to point it at yourself and reach the trigger. Even if you could reach the trigger, because it would be quite a reach the margin for error (i.e. missing the vital part you are trying to hit) might be high. This could result in a painful, prolonged death. In my country (the USA) some states execute convicted murderers. There was recently a man named Mikal Mahdi. He was supposed to be executed by firing squad, but the execution was botched because the targets were not placed properly over his heart. The bullets missed his heart, instead damaging his liver and pancreas, resulting in a prolonged and painful death. It took him four minutes to die. Witnesses reported him groaning and crying out in pain for a minute after the shots were fired.
