Foresthill Bridge Jumping

I'm looking to CTB soon, and my best current option seems to be jumping from Foresthill Bridge in Auburn, CA.

It's the tallest bridge in California, standing at 730-feet measured from deck height, and it's surrounded a six-foot suicide prevention barrier. Since it's close to my house, I'm planning on getting a ride there in the evening (Hard to say the exact date, but I can feel myself getting closer and closer to CTB every day. It might even be within the year.) and using a step-ladder to scale the barrier.

I understand SI is tough to overcome, but I don't have alcohol or drugs, and I don't know where I could get any, so if anyone has any advice on how I might acquire some I'd be grateful. What is the general consensus on jumping in this forum? Will 700+ feet be enough to kill me? I truly don't know any other way. Need advice.

Yes 700+ ft WILL kill you (just go head first to make sure you are not the 1 in a million)

For alcohol, you can buy ethanol for chemical purposes without any id (I'm 18 and got 95% pure ethanol no id lmao) just dilute it into a safe mix if you want to use it to slow your SI
(I can give exact numbers for certain values if you want)

I am unsure of your ethanol tolerance, so I would say just do some googling to figure it out.

The 2 main eth concentrations you can buy are 95%, and 70%
(this will be for 10% eth conc)

70%: for every 100 ml of eth mix you add 630 ml of water, so the ratio is 1:6.3

95%: for every 100ml of eth mix you add 945ml of water, so the ratio is 1:9.45

For higher concentrations of eth just half the ratios 1:6.3->1:3.15
and that would give you 20% eth

The highest eth conc I would recommend is 40%, after that you could be to drunk to do anything. I would also add a splash of fruit juice (less than 5% of the mix) to add some flavor

How does one control their body in a 700feet fall to land on their head ? That seems impossible somehow

I have that same question. Falling that long and far I'm sure you wouldn't be able to maintain a headfirst position.

How are you going to get over the 6 foot barrier? Have you looked at it? Are you athletic enough to climb it? Are there people that watch the bridge that could come stop you while you are climbing?

How does alcohol affect your SI in the first place?

I barely drank alcohol and I've avoided it in my life a lot due to a lot of people around me that were alcoholics so forgive my ignorance.

I'm going to check out the location on the weekend to see how tall it is, where I'll likely land when I jump, etc. I'll bring a stepladder to scale the barrier. I'm gonna go at night so hopefully nobody is going to stop me. All I can do is try.

She only fell from sixty feet, though. At the lowest point it's over 700 feet tall which is where I'll be aiming

I don't know if you have watched "The Bridge" documentary about people jumping from the San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge but one of the survivors who was interviewed (and is now paralyzed) changed his mind while he was falling and curled himself into a ball or something so that his lower body took all of the impact when he hit the water with his feet.

Just something to consider.

I don't know if you have watched "The Bridge" documentary about people jumping from the San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge but one of the survivors who was interviewed (and is now paralyzed) changed his mind while he was falling and curled himself into a ball or something so that his lower body took all of the impact when he hit the water with his feet.

Just something to consider.

I haven't watched that documentary, no. There are over 100 reported suicides at this location so even then, it's still my best bet.
