I'm considering changing method (again) and have been looking at the 'Amitriptyline cocktail'. I would have access to all the drugs required. I know that OD'ing on pills has something like a 97% failure rate but those are mostly impulsive, badly thought out attempts.

The problem with the cocktail is the sheer quantity of ami that PPeH is now advising for this method, 8-10g (used to be 5g). That's 400 x 25mg pills which seems a huge amount. PPeH advises to crush the ami and dissolve in water. They also recommend 600mg oxazepam for a peaceful death (again this seems like a huge amount) and a stat dose of AE (30mg metoclopramide) beforehand. The whole lot would be chased down with a small amount of strong alcohol (vodka, gin).

Amitriptyline is said to be very bitter in solution and I'm sure the oxazepam doesn't taste great either. The whole cocktail just seems like a recipe for vomiting even with the AE. Yet PPeH says that if vomiting occurs the attempt should be abandoned by trying to bring up the rest. I'd be terrified of not being able to do this and end up having a large quantity of ami in my system - not enough to ctb but enough to cause very unpleasant symptoms, e.g. thrashing, psychosis etc.

If anyone has failed an attempt with this or a similarly large amount of pills may I ask how did you avoid the vomiting? It seems unlikely to keep that much medication down long enough until the benzos kick in. Dammit why does this have to be so difficult.

far too risky any way you try it.......I would sack the whole method off if I were you.

you could end up under care for months in hospital and then off to mental ward!!

I'm thinking that myself, it does seem too risky. But the only alternative is SN and I doubt I would be able to get the 2nd glass down after vomiting (which seems inevitable with SN even with AE).

I've tried with N2/SCBA mask and had feelings of suffocation and panic long before unconciousness could be reached. I don't know any other 'painless' method. Far too cowardly to try anything else - jumping, drowning, hanging - no thanks.

It's avoidable, but I ended up with serotonin syndrome instead and it was scary and horrible.

Was that with ami? SS is a horrible condition I've heard.
Not ami, never tried that before but was a bunch of other meds that I had laying around.

Please don't try anything with pills. I have overdosed on medications before and the side effects can be horrible. For me personally, it increased anxiety severely, made me want to hurt myself, made me think of ctb, made my heart race etc.
Overdosing on other medications just made me nautious. It's extremly uncomfortable or horribly stressing. With or without overdosing is always a bad idea. I recommend seeking help before you make plans to overdose on anything. Please call a hotline or talk to a loved one.

So, I overdosed on over 100 pills in 2018 - 90 clonidine tabs 0.3mg and an assortment of leftover antidepressants. I crushed some of it and put in a smoothie, I took some handfuls with water, and the sheer will got it all down and I never threw any up. I didn't take anything for nausea and I don't even think I had fasted beforehand. I was so calm from the clonidine and just kind of faded into barely consciousness. It felt amazing. If I wasn't found I would've succeeded. I think I got lucky honestly…but then not lucky when I was found lol. I was nauseous for days after and the hospital had me drinking a gallon of mag citrate to get me to poop it all out, but I never vomited.

Hoping for the same non-vomiting and peaceful luck with SN.

I always have a strong stomach i guess. I took a lot of kind, i still have the picture but kinda blurred probably it was an old phone. Mostly benzo, alcohol, dextro cough syrup, i believe there's antipsychotics and antidepressant but I end up fall asleep and snoring when they found me and get into psychiatric ward for about a month.
But i didn't crush it so when they put that tube, i hear they found blue pills (diazepam).
I think antipsychotics that help not to vomit (maybe) cause it make me sleepy.
But idk about Amy cocktail but still i don't recommend pill OD unless it's a sure thing

Failed attempts are always described as having an insufficient amount of AMI, I have yet to read of anyone failing with 10g as recommended by the PPeH.

I've been thinking of the same plan.
I have around 7-8 g of Ami and 1 pack of Xanax, plus I can get antiemetic easily. I can also add some opipramol.
Right now I'm planning to save more Ami just to be sure.

I'm only afraid I might be found early.

I have read that SN can be administered through an enenama, just a thought 🤔
