It's sad the fear that religion instils in people. Way I see it we are free and control our destiny without judgement from outmoded methods of control and coercion.
Yes it's like we have freewill and then given a list of Do's and don'ts.
Which brings into question the whole notion of freewill.
I know that the list of Do's and don'ts are to prevent psycho behaviour in society but we already have laws for that.
To my knowledge it's not a legal crime to commit suicide or attempt it not in the country I'm residing in so why is it considered a religious crime.
I know it stems from the old testament one of the ten commandments thou shalt not kill, but when you read other old testament stories there are loads of instances where people were told to kill by religious decree. The death of the first born of Egypt and Caanites.
In the old testament the devil came for Moses saying this man killed another man he belongs to me and archangel Michael said your claim is rebuked. So unless your Moses you are up the creek without a paddle.
