and just laid there stinking? I haven't took a shower since Nov 1st. I stink, I want to take a shower but I don't even have the motivation for that. Then I have these embarrassing thoughts like "what if the house catches fire and I gotta escape smelling like this".

I hate to admit it, but yes, I've been there. When I get to that point I can't help but think, "Ugh, littlelungs... your mental illness is starting to show."

Yea know what u mean. Been a few days for me. If uv got no one to impress like a gf or whatever who cares ae. Not fair on who u live with though, if it gets that bad I'm sure theyl tell u to have one. Can always just sit in the shower or get a chair in there if u wanna be lazy. U do feel better afterwords. On that note I'm gonna have one now.

No, it's quite the opposite actually. I feel the need to take a shower at least once a day, wash my hands quiet often and brush my teeth after every meal (even if it's just a snack).
I'm quiet obsessed with my personal hygiene (sp? Sorry not a native speaker), I have to feel clean or else I feel uncomfortable in my own skin, I can't even sleep at night if I haven't had a shower before going to bed.
I can lose the motivation to do literally anything, except keeping myself fresh and clean.

As for me, things are different a bit. I can take a shower even with no purpose. Yet, sometimes I don't have motivation to wash my hair (it's pretty long, so I have to wash it more often than others). Weird thing, I must say. Sometimes I can't simply go and have a snack, so I start feeling hungry.

Yes I know what you mean. For me, I have an office job but so I can't not shower as unfrequently as you. But if I had a wfh job I would probably not shower until I could actually smell myself...

I have been there. I used to feel that way when I used to stay in a room with my roommates. I was a lot depressed at that time. I used to get up to take food thrice a day. Literally , I used to sleep all day. Used to lose count of how many days before have I bathed, clean my clothes, etc.we can't hide things for long when we stay close to people. yep.. my friends noticed and used to care.. soon later I moved from there.

I can't keep myself stankin'. Showering in a hot steamy shower is one of the things that keeps me calm. I can think and wash all of the bullshit away - for a about 30 minutes...anyways.

It's not as severe as other people, but sometimes I take baths instead of showers just because a shower seems like too much. But I can't go more then 24 hours without showering or bathing, otherwise I feel gross.
I also think baths are relaxing. Showers are too, and I feel cleaner after them.

I been there too.. it is a telltale sign of depression. If one lives with family or there is a need to socialize on daily basis, it helps. We as humans beings are not meant to be alone.
In such times hot shower is a bliss.

I'm there now. I wouldn't even get out of bed if not for my dog, and of course that just gets me labled as 'lazy.' Always better to berate someone than to give an iota of empathy, gotta boost that ol' ego. Fuck humanity.

I think I'm on day 4 without bathing. I'm sure I'd feel better after a shower, but I just don't care... and it feels like such an insurmountable goal right now.

At the longest, 16 days.
Right now? Havent since Saturday.
Its weird how flakey skin becomes when you finally do shower after having not over and over.
I can scrub and scrub but it still wants to flake off when I'm drying myself.
It ends up making me upset after I spend time washing finally to just get covered with my own dead skin trying to fall off...

Shut up! You have got to be joking, how do u guys do this? I seriously cant sleep if I don't shower each day unless some unusual event where I'm deathly ill or super exhausted from when I used to work and it was extremely physical and late nights.
