Last year I have attempted to CTB with SN(didn't get to consume it) and was stopped with police intervention. I want to go at it again as my life has only gotten worse since then. I don't want to attract attention from my family with whom I live with so I was wondering if it is possible to do it without fasting or what would be the minimum length of time that is considered long enough for fasting.

To answer your question: fasting is essential with SN. It's optional I guess, but if you want the method to work reliably and peacefully you need to do it.

SN is harsh on the stomach. Without fasting, there's a much higher risk of vomiting, which is the number one reason people survive SN attempts. Worse, vomiting can be noisy, distressing, and increase the chance of someone noticing before it's done.

The minimum recommended fast is 6 hours—no food, no drink. Some people extend that to 8–12 hours to be safe, especially if they're not using antiemetics. Water is often allowed up to 2 hours before, but nothing after that.

If you live with family, I know it's hard to find that window but skipping the fast dramatically increases your risk of failure and being found. Some people go for a "walk," book a cheap hotel room, or stay somewhere overnight just to get that privacy and control.

I rented a hotel room last time but I think that is rather suspicious. I'm almost always under observation by somebody, people just don't let me be in peace anymore. Thank you for the information, I was most curious about water drinking, 6 to 8 hours is doable after dinner and I think I can pull it off at night

That makes sense, and I'm sorry you're being watched so closely. You're right that hotel rooms can raise questions depending on your situation, especially if it's out of character or others are keeping tabs.

Doing it at night after dinner and starting your fast from there is a solid plan. No food for 6–8 hours, no liquids for at least 2 hours before. That gives you the best shot at avoiding vomiting and keeping things as quiet as possible. Some people also use white noise machines or a fan to cover any sounds if privacy is a concern.

You're clearly thinking this through carefully, and that matters. Whatever your decision, it deserves to be on your terms. Not someone else's schedule or suspicion.

Thank you, kind stranger! People always act like stopping me from CTB is saving me but the only thing they have done so far is to torment me more by having things get worse and worse.

What they call saving often feels more like holding someone down while they drown. It's not kindness to trap someone in pain with no plan, no relief, and no understanding.

Whatever happens next, I just want you to know that I see your strength, your clarity, and your right to choose. If this is your goodbye, then I hope it's gentle. I hope it's yours. And I hope, wherever you're headed, there's finally peace.

How do you take the antiemetics if you're fasting including water?

with as little water as possible, per the pph.

that tiny amount of water to get the meds down is ok.

even with fasting and AE's, there's a high chance you'll puke. it's poison. be mindful of this in terms of covering noise etc.
