Discussion Dying with Nitrogen Gas Final Days

I'm back with another post. This time it's about these questions that are small but important factors in how the ctb goes down and in case you didn't know I'm using the nitrogen scuba method. One is when the gas leaks there is a faint smell. This is supposed to be 99 percent pure nitrogen what why would it have that scent? Its possible that it's coming from the regulator or flow meter. Second, when turning the nitrogen tank on do you have to crank it all the way? I'm hesitant to do this because max high pressures from the cylinder makes me nervous af. Third, the regulator I'm using is the ocean reef SI 35 TX Din 300 with the adapters that were said to be appropriate for it along with a US nitrogen tank and this particular setup but being its breath in demand and not constant flow would the pressure be equalized for consumption via inhalation or would it just jet out like a rocket in your lungs? The last question was more like me wanting some extra reassurance to be honest. There have been reports saying how the results during scuba and demand flow were peaceful.

Hm. Chemically sounds vague but it's the best description for it. Similar to coolant for a vehicle mixed with a strong sharpie marker is the closest example but not exact.

When reading up on nitrogen I read that they have to clean the tank before filling or refilling it. Maybe it's the cleaning at if f that leaves behind and scent? Or there's some sorta lining inside that may smell. Even soda cans have a thin plastic layer on the inside.

it might be that. This was apparently industrial grade so they probably added this form of sanitization.

I hope you reconsider your decision to ctb. However I recommend using an exit bag with heavy sleeping medication. I tried the full scuba mask, it's uncomfortable. Having a large Wide clear turkey bag over my head is a lot more comfortable. All the best

Oh I'm pretty set on ctb but thanks for the suggestions. I understand what you mean, it can feel tight especially around the neck so claustrophobia could be an issue for many with the mask method. If you don't mind me asking did you have to pull the silicone seal portion of the mask outward when adjusting or does it lay flattened where your chin sits on top?

Please do not advise others to use this method with sleeping meds. It's not recommended in the pph, it's not recommended in the mega thread here, and every single person who has commented on your posts about it have explained exactly what a horribly dangerous idea it is. You are unwilling to listen to reason which will probably cause your attempt to fail, but that's your business, don't try to sabotage others by recommending something that everyone has warned you against.
