I don't want to change the topic but I'd like to post my favorite band from this genre in this thread. Hope you don't mind.
My favorite depressive black metal band is agalloch.

This is one of the best dsmb albums in my opinion. Dark and despair but at the same time very calm and even happy (as if you accepted pain and death) in a way.
