I'm from Calgary. I tried to end my life before by stabbing myself in the chest twice and taking a lot of paracetamol and other pills, but I survived. My family called the police, and they took me to the hospital, then to a mental hospital for a day. After that, my sister took me to stay with her for a month.

Now, I'm back living with my mom, so I can't hang myself at home. I've thought about drowning, but there's no tall bridge or ocean nearby. I planned to jump into the Bearspaw Hydroelectric Plant using SWB, but I don't know how deep the river is. Plus, it's winter, so the water will be freezing.

Any advice or suggestions would help. I plan to do this in three days.

Edit: find a better location near Glenmore Dam Pathway, calgary
Just worry cause it's winter and water is frozen maybe i will go tomorrow to check the location

I hope you're doing better. I think drowning in flowing bodies of water is generally too unpredictable to be advised as a reliable method, although it would obviously depend on the characteristics of the particular river. The worst case scenario is that you'd take a beating against the rocks but ultimately end up washing up somewhere and survive. Even if you do succeed, it would be a more painful way to go than other forms of drowning.

What I would advise you is not to set such a strict time limit for yourself if possible. Take your time to consider the decision and select a method that maximizes your chances of success if you do decide to go through with it.

I agree with this. The outcome is too unpredictable

It sounds like you've suffered a lot, I hope you find the freedom from suffering you search for.
