I feel like this is a worrying state for the economy... I thought these sorts of things were supposed to be for larger payments like furniture? I've begun to cook more considering how fucking expensive online fees can be (and the amount of time i could wait for an order I could just cook?) but still, I feel like a lot of rebuttals i've seen give "Stop eating avocado toast!" energy, like this is a symptom of the problem and ordering food is not the cause. Even If I bought the bare minimum (which, the last things i've really bought outside of necessities were like... 3 dollar steam games?) everyone in my circle is still worried sick about making payments on time, finding no work, and everything in cost rising more and more. The pleasant thing about possibly dying before this all goes to shit is that I'm able to laugh about this kind of stuff a lot more. No need to worry! I'm almost done being a bottom-feeder to society lol

From CNN
"Americans have found themselves in more and more debt recently. In the fourth quarter of last year, overall debt levels increased by 0.5% to $18.04 trillion, according to the Quarterly Report on Household Debt and Credit, a report from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

That report also found that the share of households becoming seriously delinquent (a missed payment for 90+ days) on their auto loans and credit cards is at 14-year highs. "

Just thought that was interesting to include. But yeah, Mankind isn't ready for Society, Doordash payments, or (From what I read in game chat) even multiplayer videogames. We're still stuck in caveman mode, and I don't think we'll ever escape that.

On that note, I think I'm gonna make some rice n potatoes.

It's honestly concerning. I love AI but the increase of AI in our system will lead to workers losing jobs. If people need to even rely on borrowing money to buy food, that is yet another level of things becoming worse.
Housing is a Ponzi by nature, so housing will keep inflating in price as well.

But, people are not willing to sacrifice any comfort to ensure our future either. Right now, no one want to help contribute, and will always feel like they cannot survive with less no matter how rich they are. Whether it's 6, 7, 8, or even more digits of income, it doesn't matter...

There's always reasons why they should pay less taxes, reasons why ensuring fair distribution of our economic growth is somehow bad, and reasons why people should just go suffer and die. :/

I just made some teriyaki braised chicken and it's yum. Haven't made it for a while.

Rather than lower normal food prices, or pay people living wages, capitalism finding new ways to make money from debt slavery amongst all the wage slavery.

Need to eat the rich or end up walking into an ever worsening dystopian nightmare.

Doordash and similar services are kind of a rip-off unless you can't drive yourself for whatever reason.

I have always lived frugally as from the beginning when my "parents" dropped me off on the street curb with no food, no money, no shelter, no nothing and drove away and never saw them again ever.

I buy my own groceries, no delivery ever, no fast food, no pizza place, nothing, as I cook everything at home. I have not had a meal out in so long.

I have talked with so many who always say something to the nature of "oh, this service ONLY costs me like $6.99 per month". BUT with a gym membership and so many monthly services they are spending around $1000 (USD) per month and never adding it all up. It is only a few dollars per month, but they are NOT tallying it all up.

I, have no Netflix, no monthly anything ever. Now it is how one wants to spend their money; HOWEVER, I will never understand folks who spend more than they have coming in.

One only is here once but unless one is Musk, then a budget might be in order, as I have had a budget since June 1974.
