Since I was about nine years old, I feel invisible. Like I was see-through. Like there's no reflection staring back at me in the mirror. Does anyone else feel that way?

I cannot truly relate because I have the almost opposite problem. I wish I wasn't a physical being, and that no one could see or look at me. But I can understand or at least imagine what you might be experiencing, and it seems like it's very hopeless and isolating. Is there anything that eases this feeling for you?

I can relate to feeling extremely empty, like having dead eyes with nothing inside. I don't want to allow myself to feel much of anything again, good or bad. Because where there are feelings, they might be crushed, while there is already just about nothing left to crush. I'm truly sorry that you are feeling invisible, and from such a young age. Do you think that something specific happened to cause this?
Always. That's the story of my entire life, pretty much. I've never had a social circle and I've never fit in anywhere - always been an invisible outcast. I think it only gets worse the older you get. It becomes harder to establish friendships and connections. Really it's a Catch-22 - you need friends and connections to make more friends and connections. If you are alone in this life, you are going to suffer.
