Discussion depression better but still want to die

My depression had gotten much better. I am even happy and hopeful at times. I started dating after decades of not. But I still think about, plan for and want to die. Is that weird?

It's not weird to me because you know what life means with its disillusionments. But you can maybe recover ? I wish you the best
