Is there anyway to see how many people on the website successfully managed to CTB? Would be interesting to see and compare with how many people there are on the website

For this purpose the police has to check the elelectronic communication of each person who committed suicide. Not a good idea!

Names that are crossed out have either died or closed their accounts.

Based on that alone, it would be difficult to get a number I'd imagine.

I don't know for certain, but I'd wager no. It just doesn't seem verifiable.

As other members have mentioned, it's tricky to verify deaths to begin with- seeing as the site is anonymous.

I've seen people request this in the past but, I always feel like it's playing into journalists and protestors hands. There's nothing they'd like more than be able to connect actual deaths to the site. Even if actual deaths are likely comparatively few compared to membership. Why make their 'job' any easier? It just feels like providing ammunition to get the site taken down.

Yeah there's a bitter irony in that the things that would be some victim shaming. Instead of the person's story from being told and the road to suicide being told. It would be blaming them for being suicidal in the first place and how maybe in this place there's at least some amount of community that doesn't exist outside of it. Like tsk tsk they should've gotten help. When the reality is that help doesn't actually exist. I mean forget friends if you have them which is bold assumption who would just say go to a doctor. Sure these conversations could be had in theory with a doctor but in my experience they'd just run to a needle or prescription pad. They can't be asked to have even generic conversations let alone something like this. Too much work maury is on. I don't think these conversation could exist in practice.

Kind of blaming victims for their own inadequacies.
