I'm going to a day clinic soon and I have very mixed feelings about it.
On one hand it might actually help me but on the other I'm worried I might be a lost cause.
I thought I would have more time to deal with these feelings but they had an open spot a lot earlier than expected.
over an hour on the train every morning is also concerning with my social issues (even if I had a license, you're not allowed to drive while in treatment there)

TLDR: I'm freaking out because I'm going to a day clinic

You might not want to think of it as a binary situation (i.e. it works or your a "lost cause"). It might be more useful to think of it as an experiment that might work or not. An hour commute on a train is an interesting experience. Most people come to have a favorite seat and you might find some upset with your seat selection. You can ask someone when you board if a seat is free. This can help avoid anyone with territorial issues. Most use a long commute to do reading so if there is a book you have wanted to read, but haven;t found the time, this might be the opportunity.
