Was planning on CTB with SN but I'm worried I won't be able to get any of the stronger meds needed. Has anyone previously been successful using just OTC meds or no meds at all when CTB'ing with SN?

the meds are really just to make the whole process easier and less stressful for yourself. All you really need is SN.

don't just rely on my info but as far as I'm aware the SN is the only thing that causes you to CTB. Although it can be difficult to not throw it up without an anti-emetic and benzos are to help calm you down and prevent SI

Yes, people have used SN without stronger prescription meds and still succeeded. The main concern is vomiting. SN is harsh on the stomach. Without antiemetics like metoclopramide or domperidone, there's a real chance you'll throw it up before enough is absorbed, which can lead to failure, intense nausea, or ending up in hospital.

Otc options like antacids (e.g. nexium or famotidine) can help protect the stomach lining, but they don't prevent vomiting. Some people try motion sickness tablets like meclizine or dimenhydrinate, but these are hit or miss and far less effective than proper antiemetics.

If you have to go without meds, absolute fasting (no food or drink for 6โ€“8 hours beforehand), a calm setting, and mental preparedness become even more important.

I've seen recently updates that antiacids aren't necessarily recommended anymore. Not sure why though

There are many cases... Most of the time regardless I see SN fail is because people get help before hand. Though there are cases where someone ends up just vomiting through the whole night, but that wasn't DMC/Source wasn't tested n such.

Though it's a higher failure rate let's not downplay it: Nitrite regardless is still extremely dangerous. The meds help soften the cushion

I've seen those updates too, and the shift seems to stem from concerns that antacids might alter stomach pH in a way that affects SN absorption. The thinking is that changing the acidity could potentially reduce the effectiveness of the SN, though concrete evidence is limited.

That said, antacids were primarily used to protect the stomach lining, not to prevent vomiting. Their role in the protocol was always secondary to proper antiemetics like metoclopramide or domperidone, which actively reduce nausea and the urge to vomit.

There are ways to get stuff online through clearnet. It takes some effort, but everything you need is available, you just have to know where to look.

In the PPH, they stated there was no particular difference if people took them or not so why add the extra med.

Yes, I've seen many successful stories of people who only used SN. But for your own comfort, still try to get it.

I went to a pharmacy and told them I used to have metpamid but now I didn't have prescription. They didn't even question and gave it to me. Then I told them metpamid made me anxious and asked if they could give me some benzodiazepines; they refused but still gave me unisom which won't release anxiety but will make me sleep. I think it's good enough.

Could you explain further. I really need to get some antiemetics.

I'm planning on ctbing with just SN too. I've heard that others have been successful beforehand. What I want to know is whether you need to take more of it? Two or three cups as opposed to just one.

I'm worried I won't have access to them. I looked into online pharmacies but they usually have a yearly charge to start which is what adverts me. I also heard others say there were markets on tor that have antiemics which is what I'm leaning towards if I can find them
