Does police confiscate suicide notes ?

I read on reddit that it happend before but do they do this in Europe?

In Australia my mothers suicide note got confiscated by the police. I'm assuming it's for evidence purposes

No, from memory they let us take a picture or photocopy of it and they kept the original
